big kids love mickey mouse too

so, we were off to cali...and by WE i mean all of my sibs, bro in law and sis in law, and both of my parents. (sad but BP couldn't make it) and oh, i forgot to mention, we toured around in a 15 passenger VAN. while classy and fancy might NOT have been the top this vacation we did manage to have some dyer-style FUN. first we visited Disney's California Adventure...oh, there are loads of great rides there. but only one stands out in my mind as i recall our weekend...THE TOWER OF TERROR. let's just say that it made Duff sweat and upon exiting the ride my mom (AKA Gangelina Ganiston) exclaimed "i would rather have cancer than ride that awful ride!" and she was serious. i tried to get some pictures while the being dropped 40 feet at about 500 miles per hour. but you get the idea..

duff was just happy to be LEAVING the terror!

Banks Lake, baby!

it isn't summer without steamboat rock. unfortunately, brandon couldn't make it this trip due to work conflicts. so i was going it alone and i did take note of which child was easier on the beach than the other. wonder which one?? this year macrae decided to smuggle some of steamboat's sand home with him. just how many pictures can one mom take of her son eating sand???

ganz was teaching isla kneeboarding techniques since SHE IS THE PRO.
Stella helped isla get the courage to swim without a life jacket!

Dyers Unite!

And just what would a summer be without a family reunion (or two)? Right. The Dyers hooked up in Pasco, WA this year to enjoy some hot weather, golf, and craftiness. While the men (and some women) golfed on Saturday, a few of us found a nice little farmers market...for the most part, it was a mexican fare...oh, and some shave ice?
