guys, this is serious.  since we moved here we have heard many owl calls.  a couple different kinds.  lately though we have been hearing this screeching from many different trees.  turns out, baby owls screech when they are hungry!  these guys are sitting on the tree right behind our house.  there are actually three of them, the third was in a different tree.

Spring Recap: Tea for Two

since one of isla's besties is moving to north carolina this summer, we decided to have a little celebration before she leaves.  i decided we could have a tea party, just the two of them.  isla continually asks me if emily is going to move back and if i think they will forget each other.  it's so cute how the little 6/7 year old heart is so tender.  

Spring Recap: Estelle's Birthday at Oaks Park

last minute trip to PDX for estelle's 9th birthday celebration.  it was spring break and with junk-weather abounding everywhere within a 12 hour drive, we stayed in town.  except for this day.  it was grand~!
