Dear Steamboat Rock,

you have given me 23 years of blissful summers. your waters taught me to wakeboard. you have unknowingly added hundreds of songs to your "soundtrack" that are forever in my heart's lp. in 2002 it was on your beaches where i fell in love with my soulmate. i hope to share you with my family for the rest of my life.

this week you were just what i needed. you gave me relief from daily chores and life's little stresses. thank you for reminding me how joyful my life is.

remember when we ran from our parents, cruised bridgeport, hung at hoagies, "signed" yards, rolled down hills, laid in the grass, jumped on trampolines, ate at cafe wa, bummed around sunnyside, jumped from bridges, snuck around the sand pits, rollerbladed at ruston, danced around beach campfires, swam at horshoe lake, drove cars we didn't pay for, and cared for nothing other than being out...together? i do.

i don't think about it often. but last week one of my long lost homies returned. {for those of you who know this guy...i bet you haven't seen him in 10 years}

my sis does it again

since isla and mimi were born 9 days apart kjrst and i sort of treat them like twins. {kind of like the way we were treated} the little "bobbed-bff's" were spoiled with a big celebration in honor of their 5th birthday. since they both wanted a beach party kjrst and i decided we would do it together.

kjrsten is pure genius. this party was all her. i'm just glad i got to tag along and enjoy it.
