being 1 is COOL

somehow, this guy can't talk yet (unless you count the one or two words he spews out hap-hazardly each day) but he KNEW HE WAS something special today!! he's ONE!!

my favorite things about macrae:

1. he loves to laugh. if you're laughing, he laughs right along with you. if you aren't laughing he likes to find ways to make you laugh (usually just starts laughing).

2. his cheeks. oh man! they are rosy and delicious!!

3. how much he loves isla. when we pick her up from school he gets so excited and giddy!

4. he's a tough-guy. falls down, bangs his head, no problem. 3 shots at his last doctor check up and the guy barely cried for a few seconds. oh, and he can lift 7 pound bags of ice. that's right-SEVEN.

5. his smile. too cute to ever say no to. heck, when i tell him "no" he usually turns to me with a big grin as if to say, "are you sure you can say NO to ME??"

6. he's going to be an awesome big brother. he's so fun...how could he be anything else?

Big Boy

it's been said, he's big. he even wore a tie to church on Sunday. (I KNOW! SHUT THE DOOR, right???) he's even big enough NOT to pose for pictures. (kjrst, do you like isla's saltwaters? she won't wear her own, but she WILL wear mimi's )

DO the Puyallup

Brandon and i did the puyallup on monday night with all of our friends...no KIDS! don't tell anyone, but i did a few rides...the big white rollercoaster was so exciting when it was over my feet were sweaty! let's not even get into the details of what we ate...let's just say we left no booth unturned.
anyway, today i took the kids to the fair. with a dizzy pass on her wrist, isla really got crazy this year! she seriously did every ride that she was tall enough for. she didn't care about the food...unless YOU think cotton candy is food.

second day of school...and so happy to be there!

isla LOVES miss robin's preschool so much that she was totally excited for the day. so she smiled for me today.

first day of school! first day of school!

it doesn't take much to get isla excited to go back to school. just tell her that she gets to wear her NEW SCHOOL CLOTHES and that she's in miss robin's preschool again. she loved it today and can't wait to go back tomorrow! (even though she refused to smile for me when she came out. a little like her mom, i guess)

when you're on THE PARTY BARGE??!!

it's been 21 years of pure joy at banks lake. and thanks to DANO we started a new (hopefuly) tradition this year. THE PARTY BARGE. no doubt we were the envy of all boaters on the lake in this thing...

it's sad to see the summer come to and end...and even more sad when you don't take very many pictures of your last trip. (that dam's things' scary, right dad?)
